We have a unique and adaptable design perspective realised by over 10 years of combined experience. We aspire to create pieces of exceptional quality that are inspired by sustainably sourced and reclaimed materials. Red Tail Black are a two-man operation established in Melbourne’s outer east. Each piece of furniture is lovingly created and cared for by the same hands that run the company. Because we are a relatively small operation, we are able to personally inspect and approve every single length of timber that comes through our doors. This means that the materials used in creating your piece are thoroughly inspected for structural defects and hand picked for exhibiting the aesthetic potential that sets our work aside from our competitors.

As qualified carpenters we have a background in renovation and restoration, and specialise in permanent home fixtures such as elegant bathroom vanities, profound kitchen bench tops, reclaimed timber doors, custom window frames and wall-mounted mirrors. These permanent additions breathe presence and character into your home and deliver a truly unique quality at the end of any renovation.
